Addo Wildlife: Spotted Hyena
The spotted hyena, also known also as the laughing hyena, is a nocturnal mammal that can be seen in nearby Addo Elephant Park.
These dog-like animals are incredibly intelligent and are the second largest carnivore in Africa. Know best as a scavenger, the spotted hyena is also a skilled hunter and is able to take down an antelope.
If you are planning to do an Addo Park tour during your stay with us at Chrislin African Lodge be sure to keep your eyes open to try and find a spotted hyena.
If you were fortunate to photograph a spotted hyena during your stay in the malaria-free Addo region please share your pictures with us by posting them onto our Facebook page.
