Homemade Treats at Chrislin

Delicious Homemade Food

At Chrislin Addo Lodge, we pride ourselves in making the most of the fresh produce that we grow in our own, sustainable gardens. We believe the delicious homemade food complements our great accommodation, friendly service. We believe our special touches make your stay more enjoyable and that the special ingredient of love makes homemade food even more more tasty!

Delicious Homemade Food: Jams

We grow our own organic strawberries, oranges and guavadillas. We use the fruit to make the jam that can be enjoyed at our Chrislin Addo Lodge breakfast. We also make a delicious marmalade. Our jams and marmalades are thoroughly enjoyed by our guests. Our pomegranates are also used in our fruit salads.

Delicious Freshly Baked Muffins & Bread

All the muffins enjoyed at Chrislin Addo Lodge are homemade from scratch and freshly baked fresh in our very own oven every morning. These are delicious with our homemade jams and marmalades. We bake fresh bread in the evenings to go with our delicious three-course meals.

Delicious Homemade Food: Stewed Guava

In our Chrislin Lodge garden we have two guava trees. One bears white guavas and the other the pink guavas. This exotic and tropical fruit is high in vitamin C. We stew the guavas and serve them as an alternative to fruit salad at breakfast. Many of our guests have not heard or tasted this fruit before but raved about it after tasting it. The fruit is normally ready to be enjoyed from mid-April each year.

Delicious Homemade Food: Biscuits

Each one of our Chrislin Addo Lodge huts has its own coffee and tea making facilities, which includes delicious homemade chocolate chip biscuits for our guests to enjoy.

Delicious Fresh Juices & Sorbets

When the Chrislin Addo Lodge oranges are in season, our guests enjoy a glass of freshly squeezed, natural and preservative-free, orange juice. We also make a delicious guava juice. Our homegrown strawberries are often used in sorbets.

Delicious Food: Organic Vegetables

Our delicious homemade Chrislin Addo Lodge 3-course evening meals often feature vegetables harvested from our organic vegetable garden. Scraps are turned into compost. We have also successfully grown vegetables such as pumpkins from harvested seeds. We’ve re-grown vegetables such as celery and we’ve used some of our homegrown papayas in our fruit salad for breakfast, also from harvested seeds. This year we’ve started making some pickled peppadew, yet another successful vegetable grown in our Chrislin garden.
